Nam Long Group, a leading real estate developer in Vietnam, has consistently showcased its dedication to corporate social responsibility (CSR) endeavors over the years. In 2023, the company has continued its annual series of activities aimed at raising environmental awareness and promoting a green lifestyle in the community.

One of these is the Nam Long Fresh program, a series of activities conducted in recent years as part of the company’s effort to align itself with the United Nations’ 17 sustainable development goals and contribute to addressing significant environmental issues. This year, Nam Long Group worked together with Limloop, a social enterprise dedicated to producing recycled fashion in support of people with disabilities, to organize the Nam Long Fresh Tour-Nam Long Green Station project. Under the theme “Joining Hands to Build a Green Planet,” the project ran from June 4 to July 30, featuring a diverse range of activities to bring new life to old items, thereby spreading the spirit of recycling to the community.
The company set up multiple Nam Long Green Stations in residential areas and office buildings to gather waste and used materials, including paper, plastics and batteries. Subsequently, these materials were repurposed and transformed into useful items. Notably, disabled individuals at Limloop could gain some money from handling the processing of plastic bags to produce eco-friendly fashion products.
The Nam Long Fresh Tour-Nam Long Green Station project has somehow successfully instilled the spirit of green living into the community, especially among young generations. Many children in residential areas enthusiastically classified waste and brought it to the stations themselves. They understood that sorting waste is also a good way to contribute to environmental protection.
Many parents were also inspired to visit the green stations every weekend, where they could spend time with their kids and learn more about recycling. Additionally, as part of the Nam Long Fresh program, the organizers carried out several online challenges, namely “Green Warriors” and “Two Weeks of Green Living”, to spread the message of eco-friendly practices to the wider community.
Other green stations at Nam Long Group’s offices also received the wholehearted support of its employees, with influxes of recyclable materials like batteries, paper, and plastics brought to the stations from morning till evening.
After nearly two months of implementation, the project gathered over two tons of recyclable materials (paper, plastic and nylon) and more than 10,000 batteries. This remarkable figure underscored the community’s commitment to green living.

Nam Long Fresh 2023 officially concluded its journey on July 30, but the story of the Nam Long Green Station project will continue to have a positive impact on the community. Speaking about this CSR endeavor, Tran Xuan Ngoc, CEO of Nam Long Group, emphasized that the project creates a great opportunity for the community and Nam Long employees to work together in building green urban areas and green office spaces. It also helps improve the quality of life and the working environment, and serves as a source of inspiration for promoting a green lifestyle among the public.
Other CSR practices
Along with the Nam Long Fresh program, the real estate company has been striving to carry out many CSR activities in diverse fields such as education, healthcare, and environmental conservation over its 30-year journey of development.
In April 2023, Nam Long Group awarded “Swing for Dreams” scholarships to 64 talented students in difficult circumstances from the University of Information Technology, University of Economics HCMC, University of Architecture HCMC, Foreign Trade University, HCMC University of Agriculture and Forestry, and HCMC University of Technology. Each scholarship was worth VND10,000,000. It was part of the company’s efforts to support students in pursuing their dreams and improving their knowledge.
Within the framework of the “Swing for Dreams” scholarship program, those students had a chance to participate in a warm and intimate exchange program with representatives of Nam Long Group. They not only received financial aid but also guidance and motivation for their future careers.
Other noteworthy CSR initiatives included the “Nam Long Supports the Fight Against Covid-19 in 2021” program, an investment in a bridge and road system worth over VND5 billion for the people of Long An Province, and the “Clean Water for Schools” program, which benefited 130 schools in Bac Binh District, Binh Thuan Province. These programs have provided support to millions of families across various provinces and cities in the country.
